A Nepo Baby's Perspective
As a 'nepo baby' (a term often used to describe the children of famous actors and musicians), Hewson's childhood was a unique blend of the glamorous and the mundane. She spent weeks on the road touring with her father, experiencing the thrill of the stage, and then returned to a more ordinary life as a student. This contrast, she reflects, taught her resilience and the art of managing contrasting worlds.
"You go away and have a sort of unbelievable fantasy life," she says, "and then you come back and take the train to school in the rain and see your friends and do your homework. I make all these friendships with these people for six months and then go back to my regular life. I think it set me up for being able to manage it."

"It was just, like, people really don't take you seriously," she admits. "When you're going into castings and meeting with directors, you can really feel that. So you have to power through."
